What to do Gay friendly in Bali

Lazing about on the beach...

On the Gay side, the famous beach of Callego with its coffee/spa/massage flying the rainbow flag was closed a few years ago to leave room for a real estate project. You now go a little further to the north in Batu Belig between Canggu beach and Berewa near Seminyak. The beach is right next to the gay guesthouse Zen 4 Men. Otherwise, the Double Six and Pantai 66 beaches in Legian near Ocean Hotel gets very gay at the end of the day.

Diving...

Whether with bottles or simply with snorkelling, there are very beautiful sites. In turquoise water, above the coral reef, you can swim with thousands of multicoloured fish. A real treat. On the Nusa Lembongan island, Blue Corner Dive is gay owned and offers traditional bungalows and a beach bar beside all diving amenities. In Sanur, Blu Season Bali which is also gay owned, manages the Padi 5 Star Dive Center to pass levels and dive. On the gay friendly side, there is also Padi IDC Bali in Sanur or Dive the Rainbow in Seminyak (J. Drupapi 72b) for diving courses, and AquaMarine Diving in Seminyak (Jln Raya Petitenget 2A) for courses and diving excursions on the main sites of the island.

A massage...

because it is really part of local traditions and because it is a real pleasure. With two or four hands, body massage, body scrubbing... They are often exercised by experienced masseurs and very seriously. This experience is not in the "sex gay in Bali" section even if some establishments provide a happy end. In Seminyak, the best-known and officially gay is Banana Spa Bali (20 Jln Drupadi) not far from Gay Street with ten masseurs. Adams Apple Male Massage (JL. Batu Belig n°69X) near the gay beach is also for men only with beautiful masseurs. In a very gay friendly version also, Coconut Grande Spa (Jln Plawa 37) and its sensual body massages, Bonita Spa (Jln Petitenget 2000X), the very chic M2 Spa (Jln Pettitenget No 41B) in Kerobokan, Antique Spa (Jln Dukuh, Br. Semer, Umalas) has 16 massage cabins in Kerobokan also or Minahasa Health and Beauty Spa (Jln Gunung Tangkuban Perahu 156A) close to Depo Bangunan with its unforgettable Tantric massages. In Ubud, you should go to Paris at the Milano Lounge and Spa (Monkey Forest Rd near the soccer field) which is gay and has two lovely masseurs. In the north, Spa Djemari (Jln Serma Karma 10) is the first lounge in Lovina with masseurs.

A purchase of local art...

Painting is among the local handicraft with very numerous galleries. A first mainly devoted to the gods and with a religious function, all sorts can be found  with dense paintings usually using the rules of perspective in the Balinese tradition. Artists villages are very developed in the Ubud area. Symon Gallery (Jalan Raya Campuhan in Ubud) is a favourite with its very artistic male nudes. Otherwise, sculptures and masks are easily found and are of really good quality.
