A trip offered by Laurent from Residence PearlOneSXM.
In the heart of the Antilles, Saint Martin is divided in two: on one side France, on the other the Netherlands. English is spoken everywhere on this absolutely heavenly island inhabited
by more than 123 nations. The French part, north of the island, is heavenly but the centre is the most authentic getaway. The locals perpetuate their traditions more than elsewhere. It has 9 of the
most beautiful beaches of the Carribean.
When to go. Temperature are ideal year-round and nears 30°c during the day and 26°C at night. The island is known to be dry, as it rains less than on other tropical islands. In February, there is a carnival in Marigot.
What to see and do. Seaside activities in a paradise setting. In Oyster Point, there is a pretty small and quiet marina, as well as hotels and restaurants. Io-massages, the massage lounge at Hotel Captain oliver's, offers a special gay wedding package. And closeby, the pier of the Voyager sailing to Saint Barth where you will find many luxury duty-free boutiques!
What to eat. All the flavours of the Caribbean with grilled fish and lobster. Also many restaurants serving cuisine internationale.
Nightlife. The island is is lively during the peak of the tourism season. In Marigot, Club Eros is the only gay club of the island. It is crowded on Saturdays and Nanou has been the queen of the night there for 30 years. Grand case on the French side is an endless party during the tourism season, just Simpson bay on the Dutch side it is
Sex. Two naturist beaches. On the Dutch side is Cupecoy beach (picture), a paradise gay cove with cliffs and caves. To get there, hitch hiking works well. Otherwise, take the bus from Marigot towards Cupecoy’s shopping. By car, drive to the Blue-Mall shopping center and park your car on the beach just opposite. On the French side, is Orient bay, the largest and most beautiful beach on the island, with a nudist side for families right in front of Club Orient. It is a large beach with deckchairs, restaurants, bars, and of course the pristine turquoise water...
